From October 24, 2026 to November 7, 2026

Benevento is home to one of Italy's most remarkable collections of Egyptian heritage, preserving the legacy of the ancient cult of Isis, which flourished here during the Roman period.
Organised by Rotolando Verso Sud, Egyptian Benevento – In the Footsteps of Isis takes visitors on a guided walk through the historic centre to uncover this unique connection between Southern Italy and Ancient Egypt. The itinerary begins at the iconic Bull of Apis, one of the city's best-known symbols, before continuing among monuments and archaeological remains that reveal Benevento's extraordinary Egyptian past.
The experience also includes admission to the Egyptian Collection of the ARCOS Museum, where statues, artefacts and historical finds illustrate the importance of the cult of Isis in Roman Benevento. Children aged 5 to 11 can take part in a dedicated Egyptian-themed workshop, making the visit engaging for the whole family.
A fascinating cultural experience that combines archaeology, mythology and local history, offering visitors a completely different perspective on one of Campania's most intriguing cities.
