20ª Sagra dei Prodotti Tipici

In Pietraroja, every flavour begins with the landscape. It comes from the mountains, the pastures and the work of a community that continues to preserve its culinary heritage, transforming it into an opportunity to come together.
From 20 to 23 August 2026, the 20th Sagra dei Prodotti Tipici brings this story back to the heart of the village with four days dedicated to local produce, conviviality and the discovery of Pietraroja. Reaching its twentieth edition is an important milestone for an event that renews the connection between food and the land from which it originates.
At the foot of the Matese massif, Pietraroja retains the authentic character of Sannio’s mountain villages. During the festival, its streets and squares become places in which to meet, sample local specialities and explore a culinary tradition shaped by knowledge, skills and methods handed down over time.
The festival is more than a gastronomic event. It is also an invitation to slow down, observe the landscape, breathe the mountain air and discover a village where nature, history and everyday life remain deeply intertwined.
Music, entertainment and activities will accompany visitors throughout the event. These include a yoga and meditation session scheduled for Saturday, 22 August, adding a focus on well-being and the relationship with the surrounding natural environment.
The Sagra dei Prodotti Tipici therefore becomes a gateway to Pietraroja: four days in which to discover the village through its most immediate and genuine expression—the flavours born in the mountains and shared around the same table.
