30ª Sagra della Castagna del Partenio

As autumn colours the hills of the Sannio, the village of Arpaise welcomes visitors to the 30th Partenio Chestnut Festival, organised by Pro Loco Arpaise "Generoso Papa" APS. For two days, Contrada Russi becomes a lively meeting place where food, folklore and music celebrate the traditions of the local community.
The festival showcases the renowned Partenio PGI Chestnut, featured in traditional recipes, tastings and local specialties prepared according to long-standing culinary traditions. Visitors can also browse artisan stalls, enjoy live performances and immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of a Sannio village festival.
Saturday evening features roasted chestnut tastings, live entertainment and the evocative historical performance "The Legend of the Janare", followed by folk music from Il Nuovo Canzoniere della Ritta e della Manca. On Sunday, the traditional Chestnut Lunch offers a full menu inspired by the flavours of autumn, accompanied by live music from AMEN.
