Cantine Iannella was founded more than a century ago in Torrecuso, on the slopes of Mount Taburno, in a land where wine is not simply cultivated but deeply woven into the community’s identity. Established in 1920 by Giovanni Iannella, the winery has crossed generations, wars, crises, and transformations while remaining faithful to a core principle: making wine as an act of responsibility toward the land and its people.
Today, the winery is living a distinctly contemporary chapter. Since 2021, it has been guided by Nietta Iannella and her mother Maria—two women, two different yet complementary personalities, united by a shared vision. Nietta brings a rational, analytical, and systemic approach shaped by her completed studies in International Economics and by her current academic path in Viticulture and Oenology, undertaken to deepen her understanding of every stage of vineyard and cellar work. Maria embodies the more intuitive and creative soul, rooted in experience, gesture, and artisanal sensitivity.
In a sector that remains largely male-dominated, especially within this regional context, their leadership is never proclaimed or emphasized. It is expressed through continuity, consistency, and the unwavering quality of the wines. The winery has never slowed down or lost its direction—proof that authentic leadership needs no justification.
Production is centered on native grape varieties—Aglianico, Falanghina, Coda di Volpe, and Piedirosso—grown in estate-owned vineyards as well as in plots managed by local growers with whom the winery maintains long-standing relationships based on trust. Vineyard work is key: the more care devoted to the vines, the less intervention is required in the cellar, in a conscious balance between tradition, technology, and sustainability.
Cantine Iannella is a living organism—breathing, adapting, and evolving. A winery that looks toward the future without cutting its roots, where wine becomes a story of family, place, and daily choices guided by competence and respect.

Curiosities
The wine that best represents Cantine Iannella is Don Nicola, an Aglianico del Taburno DOCG Riserva. More than a label, it is a statement of identity. Created as a tribute to Nicola Iannella, a pivotal figure in the family’s history, this wine brings together memory, discipline, and affection. For Nietta, it is a wine of the heart: it recalls the home she grew up in, the work shared across generations, and a vision of quality that has never allowed compromises. If Cantine Iannella could be captured in a single glass, this would be it.
