CHIAZZE E CUCCHIARO

In Morcone, the historic centre is not simply crossed: it is read. Promoted by Pro Loco Murgantia in collaboration with the Municipality of Morcone and with the support of the association Il Presepe nel Presepe, the initiative is a guided walk designed to reveal the village in its truest dimension: that of the “chiazze”, the squares, of the alleys, stairways, narrow passages and sudden viewpoints opening onto the Sannio landscape. The name of the main event, Chiazze e Cucchiaro, brings together two essential elements of local identity: the public space, where the community meets, and the spoon, a simple yet powerful symbol of shared cuisine. This cultural preview therefore becomes an ideal threshold: first you walk, observe and listen; then you reach the table, where the story continues through flavours, music and conviviality. The visit allows travellers to discover Morcone as a vertical village, made of perspectives, stone and memory, where slow tourism is not a slogan but a concrete way of experiencing the territory.
