Crispy on the outside, generously filled and deeply connected to traditional home cooking: the cuzzitiello returns as one of the highlights of Paduli’s summer. On 18 and 19 July 2026, from 8:00 p.m., Street Food Padulese will bring residents and visitors together for two evenings dedicated to flavour and conviviality.
Now in its fourth edition, the Festa del Cuzzitiello celebrates a speciality born from the ingenuity of home cooking. The end of a loaf, recognisable by its thicker crust, was hollowed out and filled with whatever had been prepared at home. Meat sauce, vegetables and other ingredients transformed a simple piece of bread into a rich and satisfying meal.
During the event, this tradition will be brought back to life through different fillings inspired by local flavours, accompanied by other street-food specialities and drinks. Music and entertainment will complete the programme: Januawill perform on 18 July, while The Voice VR Edition will enliven the evening of 19 July.
The festival celebrates a cuisine shaped by memory, resourcefulness and generosity, capable of evolving without losing its roots. Two evenings to rediscover the value of bread while sharing music, flavours and smiles with the Paduli community.
