Some flavours belong so deeply to a place that they become part of its story.
In Tocco Caudio, on 11 and 12 August, the Peparuolo ’Mbuttinato and Fagiolo Tocchese return to the spotlight for a festival that celebrates its 10th edition in 2026.
Organised by the “Spitaletta Tontoli Filippo” Oratory, the event brings Piazza Municipio to life with two evenings dedicated to food, music and traditions that continue to find one of their most genuine expressions around the table.
The very name of the festival reflects its connection with local cuisine: the traditional stuffed pepper and the Tocchese bean become an opportunity for people to come together and enjoy the atmosphere of summer evenings in the village.
Food will be accompanied by a musical programme with a different character each night. On 11 August, Ascarimè will bring local culture, traditions and folk songs to the stage. On 12 August, the celebrations continue with Rockitos – Musico & Karaoke, followed by a DJ set by Luca Petraccaro, with Umby Mauriello on vocals.
Through flavours, music and conviviality, the festival captures the authentic spirit of an Italian village celebration: a place where a recipe becomes a memory, a square becomes a meeting place and a community continues to celebrate its traditions together.
