The Lili’s Woods is not a place you simply visit — it is a place you feel.
Here, time softens, thoughts slow down, and emotions finally find space to breathe.
Created by Roberta and her mother on land that has belonged to their family for generations, the Woods has grown into a haven where humans and animals meet on equal ground. Since 2002, they have welcomed animals in need; since 2005, those same lands have become a living, breathing forest of encounters and gentle discoveries.
The alpacas, who arrived almost by fate, are now the soul of the experience. Gentle, intuitive, almost poetic in the way they move, they observe visitors with curiosity and sensitivity. When a child enters the enclosure, the alpacas read their emotions first — then choose how to approach. Sometimes with a soft step, sometimes simply remaining close, offering a comforting presence without asking anything in return.
Roberta often says: “We want children to understand that every living being deserves respect. Touching an animal means touching a feeling.”
This is why every visit becomes an emotional journey, a chance to practice gentleness, empathy, and mindful presence.
To preserve this delicate balance, all experiences are available by reservation only, and small groups are preferred, ensuring calm interactions and genuine contact with the animals.
At the Woods, children brush mini ponies, meet the little horses, and walk among alpacas who choose whether to greet you — never the opposite. Everything happens naturally, without forcing any moment: “Things unfold only when they are meant to, and always with respect,” say the owners.
The name “Lili’s Woods” recalls an old local legend of a woman who lived among these trees, surrounded by flowers and animals. Today, that spirit still lingers — in the quiet footsteps of the alpacas, in the smiles of the children, and in the hearts of those who leave this place feeling a little lighter, a little more connected.
