Some events are simply visited. Others are truly experienced, one glass at a time, wandering through illuminated streets, listening to live music, and following the irresistible aromas of freshly prepared local dishes. Largo Castello 2026undoubtedly belongs to the latter.
From 8 to 12 July 2026, the historic centre of Puglianello will once again host one of the most celebrated events of the Sannio summer, now in its eighth edition. For five evenings, the village transforms into an open-air journey through flavours, bringing together tradition and innovation in a welcoming atmosphere that appeals to visitors of all ages.
At the heart of the event is, of course, craft beer. A remarkable selection from 37 Italian and European breweries will showcase styles from across the brewing world, including IPAs, Lagers, Pilsners, Blanche, Stouts, Sour Ales, and traditional Belgian, German, English, and Italian beers. Alongside these renowned breweries, local producers from the Sannio area will also take centre stage in a dedicated section celebrating the region's growing craft beer scene.
Yet Largo Castello is much more than a beer festival. As visitors stroll through Piazza Castello, Largo Castello, Casa Marchitto, and the picturesque streets of the historic village, they will discover a rich gastronomic itinerary celebrating the flavours of the territory. Traditional Sannio cuisine will stand alongside international street food, including pizzas, montanare, gourmet burgers, paella, the iconic caciocavallo impiccato, grilled skewers, vegetarian options, and homemade desserts. Food and beverages can be enjoyed using the event's token system.
One of the most significant additions to the 2026 edition is the cultural programme organised in collaboration with the Slow Food Valle Telesina Association. Every evening at Casa Marchitto, local farmers, cheesemakers, olive oil producers, breweries, and representatives of the Slow Food Presidia will share stories of biodiversity, sustainability, and high-quality local production, offering visitors the opportunity to discover the people and traditions behind each product.
Live music will accompany every evening, with more than ten performances across two stages. Rock, pop, DJ sets, and the sounds of the 1970s and 1980s will create a different atmosphere each night, making every visit a unique experience.
Today, Largo Castello is much more than a craft beer festival. It is an invitation to discover the Sannio region through its flavours, its culture, and the people who continue to preserve and celebrate its identity.
