When music meets one of a town’s main gathering places, a familiar square can become the beating heart of summer. This is the idea behind Ponte Summer Festival, a new event created to bring the community together through music, entertainment and conviviality.
The first edition will present artists and musical experiences with distinctly different styles. Opening the evening will be Kophra, a young Tuscan singer-songwriter whose music explores the emotions and language of a new generation.
The programme will continue with Bar Italia – Discoteca Italiana, a show celebrating the atmosphere and songs of the 1990s. Entertainment, dancers, special effects, lasers and theatrical performances will take the audience on a journey through one of the most recognisable periods of Italian dance music.
The grand finale will feature Cecilia Gayle, an artist associated with some of the most popular Latin dance tracks, bringing energy, movement and infectious rhythms to the square.
Street-food stalls will complement the performances, turning the festival into a complete open-air celebration. Piazza Fontana Longa will become a place in which to meet, enjoy music and share a summer night.
Ponte Summer Festival combines entertainment with the promotion of the town centre, laying the foundations for an event that hopes to become a regular feature of Ponte’s summer calendar.
