Some ingredients tell much more than the story of a recipe.
They tell the story of the land, of family tables and of traditions passed down from one generation to the next.
In Molinara, the undisputed star is the potato, a symbol of honest, home-style cooking where simplicity becomes excellence. On 10 and 11 August, Piazza San Rocco will host the Potato Festival, one of the village's most anticipated summer events.
Organised by Pro Loco Molinarese, the festival celebrates one of the area's most traditional products through recipes inspired by local culinary heritage. From crispy potato fritters and homemade gnocchi with meat sauce to oven-baked specialities and many other authentic dishes, every flavour reflects the quality and passion that define the local cuisine.
Live music will accompany the food experience throughout both evenings, creating the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes Italian village festivals so special. Families, friends and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy not only great food, but also the pleasure of spending time together in the heart of the community.
The Potato Festival is also an invitation to discover Molinara, a village that proudly preserves its traditions and continues to celebrate the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Sannio through events that bring people together.
Because behind every traditional dish there is always a story.
And in Molinara, that story continues to be shared with the warmth and hospitality of an entire community.
