From June 26, 2026 to June 28, 2026

Some villages seem made to be experienced slowly, following the scent of freshly baked bread, the sunlight on ancient stone walls and the gentle rhythm of squares coming back to life. San Lorenzello is one of those places: a charming village at the foot of Mount Erbano, where traditions remain an essential part of everyday life.

This deep connection with the land gave birth to the first edition of "Sapori e Tradizioni", organised by Pro Loco Sancti Laurentii, with the moral patronage of the Municipality of San Lorenzello and UNPLI Benevento. For three evenings, the medieval historic centre becomes a journey through flavours, craftsmanship and culture, featuring food stands, live music, street performers and spaces dedicated to traditional local crafts.

Sannio cuisine takes centre stage, with specialties such as the struppolo laurentino, officially recognised among Campania's Traditional Agri-Food Products, and the braided olive oil tarallo, a symbol of the village's convivial spirit. Alongside its flavours, San Lorenzello also celebrates its centuries-old tradition of artistic ceramics, which has long linked the village to nearby Cerreto Sannita.

More than just a food festival, Sapori e Tradizioni is an invitation to slow down, wander through courtyards and narrow streets, and be guided by aromas, music and stories that reveal the authentic soul of the territory. Here, every flavour tells a story, and every encounter becomes part of the journey.
