Some places tell the story of the past. Others, at least for one evening, allow you to experience it.

This is the spirit of "A Night at the Museum", the special event taking place on Friday, 24 July, starting at 8:30 p.m., transforming the Museum of Cerreto Ceramics, housed inside the historic Palazzo Sant'Antonio, into a unique setting where culture, creativity and gastronomy come together.

Cerreto Sannita is renowned throughout Italy as the town of ceramics. Walking through the museum's galleries means discovering a centuries-old artistic tradition that, from the eighteenth century to the present day, continues to represent one of the most authentic symbols of the town's identity. For this special evening opening, visitors will have the opportunity to admire the remarkable collection of Cerreto ceramics in a truly evocative atmosphere, made even more fascinating by the charm of the night.

The experience will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a clay modelling workshop led by master ceramist Piero Maruccio, where both adults and children will have the opportunity to experience the ancient craft of ceramics firsthand, rediscovering the value of creativity, craftsmanship and tradition.

The museum will then become a place dedicated not only to art but also to flavour, thanks to an elegant four-course tasting experience, paired with a carefully selected collection of Italian and international wines. The tasting will be guided by the sommeliers of AIS Campania – Benevento Delegation, together with the team from DolceMente, the culinary laboratory of iCare Community Social Cooperative, leading guests through a sensory journey where every pairing celebrates the harmony between food and wine.

From crispy cod with potato cream and Taggiasca olives to buffalo-filled ravioli, from slow-cooked beef with tuna sauce to a coconut and mango dessert paired with a prestigious Passito wine, every course becomes part of the evening's story, demonstrating how art, local heritage and gastronomy can naturally complement one another.

More than a museum visit and more than a dinner, "A Night at the Museum" is an invitation to experience cultural heritage from a new perspective, guided by the colours of handcrafted ceramics, the aromas of fine cuisine and the stories that make Cerreto Sannita one of the most fascinating villages in the Sannio region
