Some events celebrate a product.
Others celebrate an entire territory.
For more than thirty years, Vinalia has transformed the historic village of Guardia Sanframondi into a vibrant celebration of wine, culture and community, where every glass tells the story of the people, landscapes and traditions that make the Sannio unique.
From 4 to 10 August 2026, the village welcomes visitors from across Italy for an experience that goes far beyond wine tasting. Its historic streets become an open-air journey through flavours, aromas, art and music, inviting everyone to discover the authentic character of this remarkable land.
The theme of the 33rd edition, "Spes contra spem" (Hoping against hope), encourages visitors to look towards the future with confidence while caring for the land with the same dedication shown every day by local winegrowers. This spirit runs throughout the festival, inspiring cultural events, educational activities and initiatives celebrating sustainability and local excellence.
At the heart of Vinalia lies the renowned Taste Route, where the finest wineries of the Sannio meet local producers, chefs and artisans to offer an extraordinary journey through wines, traditional cuisine and innovative interpretations of regional flavours. Alongside the tastings, visitors can enjoy cooking demonstrations, guided vineyard tours, winery visits, children's activities, art exhibitions, literary presentations and cultural talks, making Vinalia an experience designed for wine lovers and curious travellers alike.
Walking through Guardia Sanframondi during Vinalia means listening to the stories of winemakers, discovering the passion behind every vineyard and understanding that wine is much more than a product—it is heritage, identity and a way of bringing people together.
Because behind every glass, there is a story.
And year after year, Vinalia continues to tell that story, inviting the world to discover the authentic soul of the Sannio.
