XXVII Sagra Cicategli e Sausicchia

Some events, year after year, become part of a community's story. They are occasions when a familiar recipe leaves the kitchen, reaches the town square and becomes a simple yet authentic way for people to come together.

On Saturday, 22 August 2026, Campolattaro welcomes back the Cicategli e Sausicchia Festival, now celebrating its 29th edition. From 8:00 p.m., Piazza Urbano De Agostini will come alive for an evening dedicated to food, music and the pleasure of spending time together.

At the heart of the festival are cicategli and sausicchia, flavours that evoke genuine cooking deeply rooted in local traditions. Simple dishes that nevertheless tell a much bigger story: in the Sannio, gathering around the table also means family, friendship and sharing.

And it is around the table that the festival truly comes to life, as people meet, the aromas of traditional food fill the square and another summer evening is enjoyed without rushing. Live music by the O&1 Band will accompany the celebrations, bringing together local flavours and entertainment.

As it approaches the remarkable milestone of thirty editions, the festival continues a tradition whose greatest meaning can still be found in the community itself: gathering in the town square and sharing the familiar flavours of home once again.
