Others are about something far more meaningful: coming together.

From 24 to 26 July, the town of Apice will host a new edition of the Forum of Youth Olympics, an event that has become one of the most anticipated highlights of the summer in the Sannio area, bringing together sport, friendship and community in a unique shared experience.

More than 350 young participants from across the province of Benevento and several other municipalities in Campania will gather in Apice for three days of healthy competition, teamwork and fun. Their presence reflects the remarkable growth of this initiative, which has become a key meeting point for local Youth Forums and for everyone who believes in sport as a powerful tool for personal development and social inclusion.

The event will officially begin on Friday, 24 July, with the opening ceremony set against the stunning backdrop of the Castello dell'Ettore in Apice Vecchia, one of the area's most iconic landmarks. Over the following two days, participants will compete in five-a-side football, beach volleyball, padel, laser tag, darts, table tennis, table football, dodgeball, beach bocce, and the ever-popular Games Without Borders, designed to celebrate not only competition but also fun, cooperation and team spirit. The event will conclude on Sunday with the official awards ceremony at the Town Park (Villa Comunale).

Yet the true value of these Olympics goes far beyond the final scores.

Every match, every challenge and every shared moment becomes an opportunity to build new friendships, strengthen a sense of belonging and create a network of young people eager to shape the future with enthusiasm, responsibility and a genuine desire to get involved.

At a time when meaningful connections are becoming increasingly rare, initiatives like this remind us how important it is to invest in people, places and relationships. For three days, Apice becomes a home for hundreds of young people united by the same values: respect, inclusion, collaboration and love for their territory.
